99vic Posted January 8, 2009 Report Share Posted January 8, 2009 i just got my car and it has one key. i went to get a copy made but i need one that has to be programed. the car is a 03 dodge neon. i know i can buy the key off ebay for $10 but i have no clue how to program it.the dealer wants a total of $173.48 for one. thats insane!!!!! is there a way around that or am i screwed paying that? I know you can get them made for the doors. but it depends on the type of Key you have. like the VATS keys just have a resistor but the other kind which is what im thinking you have is like a sensor. So best bet is to just try it get one made for the doors and see what happens when you try it with the other key on the ignition too. if the makes any sense at all. if you had a pic of the key it tell me what you have got. when i worked at Ace alot of people had this problem and one guy did what im trying to explain.
