And then you just run the amps from each battery, not just from one battery?

I ground each batt seperatly and then connect all - posts.

not at all. try drinking a milk shake through a coffee straw. for 6k watts, you're going to need a beefy alt (maybe 2 if you can fit depending on amperage), multiple batteries, and i would do more than one run of 1/0 through the car.
