Straight Flow Exhaust, Vids Post #8

Recommended Posts

today with some buddies tore out my muffler and put in a straight flow...

zomg i love it, 5.9L V8 definently rumbles :D

i'll post vids later, rushed going to a birthday dinner but here's straight from my phone

no more than a $40, more like $30 fix and it's amazing, i'd reconmend it to anyone to do it yourself, just with a sawzall cut out muffler and slip tubing over

i still have some small airleaks but i'm going to weld it soon

Good luck gettiing that to pass inspection, but I love the sound of a big V8 straight piped

it doesn't affect the inspections or smog checks, and the cat is still on up front

and to bangin, it definently gets up and goes more than before, it's no longer restricted, dont know if you've seen the mufflers on these... 3ft by like 1.5ft huuuge

ima start looking for a hi flow cat next

i have done the same to my durango and the torgue went up and the gas mileage was a lot better i could put in in went from 14 to 18 to the gallon by doing this u take away a lot of back pressure off the engine and it breaths a lot better i have passed all smog inspections as long as the Cat. is still there and the O2 sensors are good you have no problems in that area

depends on what state you're in, in california, it would obviously fail the visual inspection, yes we have to do visuals, some shady smog stations don't though, depends on where you go

I'm in nevada so no visual

also i'm thinking about it, there are two counties here, one is 30 minutes away and you aren't required to have a cat... hahaha dont think i'd go that far, it sounds nice where it's at
