ptcary
Yeah, another reason I went with the 5900, I only have ~$250 invested in the whole thing installed. No warranty cause a dealer did not install it. My installer buddy did the actual soldering/wiring, so if anything were to go wrong with it, he has the knowledge to trouble shoot it. Worst case scenario is if it dies, the car is still protected by the factory alarm, and I would have to replace the 5900. Everything I had read said that the 5900 is a very reliable component, and lasts a long time. I am very happy with it. Shyne151
but will they cover it even if I install it ? It more than likely will not be. We are one of the biggest directed dealers in michigan and we can't even send in units for warranty that do not have a receipt of install from an authorized dealer. -Installer for Duke's Car Stereo 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix - Ported Eaton M90 S/C, 3.5" pulley, XS Power Headers, 1.9 Rockers, FWI, Poly Motor Mounts, Custom Tune.
