I work in an autoparts shop and folks come in and ask "Do you carry decks?" I glance at my selection of jensen/Rampage/and DUAL, and reply "KINDA". I'm sorry to say so but it REALLY is low end stuff and only something I'd put in a car going to a wrecker/donation/or selling to a person I did not like. The few times I have sold them they have failed horribly and either ended in returns or just straight throw aways and the old "I told ya so" from me when that customer comes back to ask about ME personally hooking them up w/ a namebrand deck. You don't want to cut corners on a SOURCE unit like your deck, ESPECIALLY if you're going to invest in MORE equipment like amps and subwoofers as you mentioned-any probs w/ the deck will just be AMPLIFIED when you get to adding AMPS/subs/etc. Alpine/Kenwood/Pioneer: All have 1-3preout decks avail on ebay for around $100-$300 BNIB. If you need help finding them ask away but please do not go with the DUAL. You will regret it. David Posted February 2, 2007 Report Share Posted February 2, 2007 you need a special tool to pull a radio in a ford, look at the radio, on each side of the radio is 2 holes, you need that tool to push into those holes to "release" the radio, or you can get creative and make your own tool using a wire coat hanger. It's actually 2 parts, they are steel "hooks" in the shape of a "U" w/ "prongs" @ the ends. They insert into those 4 holes (2 on each side of the deck/dash) and "lock" into the deck housing. They will serve as "handles" to pull the whole assembly out. hope that helps. If not post any more Q's u may have.
