Now that is what I find impressive. 160 with four 12s, isn't that impressive. I find it cooler when someone with a single speaker or two small ones hit crazy numbers. And I don't mean in a SUPER MOD CLASS, I mean in a street driving car, not a trailer car. I love it when I see two 10s hit 155dbs, thats just crazy. i'd like to see those 2 10s doing a 155 play music, because those are one note wonders in a street car, 2 15s in a small ass car can burp a 154 at 42 hz or something and play music in the 149.9 class, to me thats more impressive fart box's/pure spl machines arnt fun sure the numbers are good but its not like you can listen to it or anything R.I.P! daddy_j Posted February 1, 2009 Author Report Share Posted February 1, 2009 I just hooked up the two aero tips to my PVC pipes and it really seems a little louder, but I wont know for sure until Tomorrow. If I win the Comp tomorrow I am going to use the cash for the 2 6" aero port kits. The ones for $37. I have a maxxlink but it doesnt make me gain or lose, right around the same numbers. Right now the ports are the same size that I had on there before the areo tips. Someone says that they may need to be an inch or so smaller, to make up for the flare. I will do some testing tomorrow morning to see how short I have to cut them. And to See if I gain or not by just putting flare tips on my ports. I have played with moving the boxes and where they should sit, and thats where they sounded the loudest. I haven't resined the box or put any 45s. That will be my next step along with adding 6" aeroport kits. The boxes are made right now to not come apart or to make any adjustments. So after the next comp, I will pull the boxes out and put in the 6" aeroport kits. I will also build a box to house both 10s and use the ports on them as well. To see which is better.
