AI James Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 both are great for a daily driver, the Q has a better response imo then the SX after you break it loose. sx are nice subs just an older speaker at this point so everything out now of course has come better characteristics. Unless your getting a deal, id get the Q's over the SX for daily.....or look at the AA Havocs

IAMBUMP Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 we put an sx in a 280z a while back and it was pretty loud honestly. single 12 ported in 2.5 on a USAmps amp. It did a good solid job for what it was. We put a type R in..........it was dumb loud. Not taking away from the SX as we could have fed it twice the power probably and been real loud, but the type r was obviously louder. type r's just seem to be a beast of a daily beating sub though.
