jonathancullen89 Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 (edited) i was just wonderin if they are a good speaker or not. i want to put a pair of 5 1/4" comps and also 4" comps in the front. if i have the money there will be two pairs of 5 1/4". 2 4x6 speakers sitting in a hole for 3.5's cannot in any way keep up with my bass. so anyone have any experience with em? good, bad, decent? Fusion is VERY good bang for the buck. Snobbing it is just for the brand especially when you haven't tried it is elitist bullshit. Because it's cheap it ends up in a lot of shitty installs but in the right hands its perfectly good gear and mostly (especially the Powerplant line upwards) quite well made. I had a set of these speakers. Pretty good for what they cost but mostly they just get loud - they don't sound quite as good as some other speakers. They are quite screechy in the 3khz range where the mid starts to suck and the tweet hasn't taken over yet. Tweets are not really noteworthy. They love power. I ran 150wrms per side into a set and as long as the HPF was kept above 80hz they were fine. Decent midbass for a 5" as well. EDIT: I suppose this mini-review might sound a bit 'meh' but I'm kinda comparing them to speakers that cost 3-4-5 times as much if not more...
