thehoe92 Posted October 21, 2009 Author Report Posted October 21, 2009 got another idea! instead of installing a switch why not use one that isn't being used? since I put the tint on the back window I don't use the defroster anymore and on top of that when I tried tinting it myself I knocked one of the tabs off so it doesn't work anyways sooooo I'll see if I can tap into that switch already molded into the dash for my voltage meter Wouldnt be thehoe92 without teh purple

thehoe92 Posted October 22, 2009 Author Report Posted October 22, 2009 yeah I remember when I first heard it and the second, third, fourth etc. it was loud as fuck but doesn't mean that the box being that high isn't good for the woofers... in fact it heated justins up pretty damn quick on woofers that are supposed to take 10k a piece and it was a clean signal its cool Elvis said he was takin it back and I don't really want it anymore so he can have it and both alts have charged my truck just fine I found what the problem was. just because it charges fine doesn't mean it can't take a load I doubt justin can put a big enough load on that alt with 1 4 channel and a Kinetik HC2400 and MLA. ...you haven't proved to me that it puts out power justin probably sits higher because he didn't have the MLA turned on until we threw my alt in his yukon and he was sitting at 14 dropping to 13.9 at some points and I figured out that he didn't have the constant power wire to keep the MLA on wired up. when I took the bolt off the back of the alternator I took 2 1/0 terminals off and the stock 8 gauge or whatever the hell size it is off but no yellow wire... at least neither I or him can remember taking one off which means no MLA was hooked up. but you are telling me he rests at 15.2v now? Wouldnt be thehoe92 without teh purple
thehoe92 Posted October 22, 2009 Author Report Posted October 22, 2009 well anyways I got a lot done today or at least it felt like it. after Steve gave me enough Rockford Fosgate speaker wire to do the entire car I started wiring it up. front doors normal grommet feed it through and to the back... back doors big ass plug in the hole so you can't put any speaker wire through it! I'll take pictures tomorrow when I do the other side but on the passenger side I took each individual pin out of the white molex bent the tabs to slip over some heat shrink so they don't arc/ground out and stuck it in the black plug, that way there is a lot more room for speaker wire to fit through the whole in the door frame then comes the voltage meter which turned into my dash coming completely off... why? because I was curious and for ease of wiring sloppy wiring which will change once I order a new harness and some relays once I get my 4 channel Steve's trash is my treasure and its also good to have the same body style as him because he didn't need the grills he's using for his new fiberglassed door panels so I got them and painted them black thanks Steve! the T3 5.25" midbass in the rear door waiting for some power never really got a good shot of my bass knob the RF 16 gauge waiting for the tweeters... my plan is to get some '00-'02 Tahoe A-Pillars because they didn't have tweeters in them and stick the T3 tweeters in the door so I can suede the a-pillar drivers side this one is for the performer always be aware of the clear coat you use. speaker wire ran and 2 old school RCA's until I have some money to replace them with RF to match the sub RCA Wouldnt be thehoe92 without teh purple

I decided to put it in the cubby hole after all. couple of screws and a hole for the wires. wires ran to the switch its not necessary for it to be on all the time probably next week some time I'll head up to tap plastics and see if I can get some smoked plexi to put in front. my favorite shot video tomorrow Wouldnt be thehoe92 without teh purple
