you are also wrong if you think its not as bright because my stocks don't compare AT ALL to my HID's even 12k is 10x brighter than stock bulbs.

yes they do use them for a reason because they are the brightest but I bought mine because they are BRIGHT and have COLOR

I'm sorry I would get bored with a bright ass white light.

and for you not being able to drive with 10k I don't know what to say mine are SO bright I was shocked because everyone told me don't get them they won't be bright. but you are right city driving for me I barely drive in country roads besides loganberry's I heard they weren't very bright in rain but I can handle

I don't have retro fitted HIDs b/c I'm not quite sure how to retro fit my HUGE headlight hosing nor do I have the cash.....

But I will say I have had 5k, 8k and 10k all in this truck with the same aiming and the 5k outperformed both of them BY FAR!!! The 10k were almost so dim I couldn't drive...they were worse then stock....and in the rain I had to tailgate cars to see b/c of the blue light and wet blacktop.

I can see where 12k will work for someone that drives city...but I drive alot on country roads and they are useless with anything over 8k.

edit: Heres what my 5000k low and fogs look like look like with proper aiming....

Nice lookin lights bro! I dunno if you know this or not, but if it seems like it is harder to drive in the rain, its because of the lights. Just something to keep in mind for the rainy season coming up. This is what my car looks like with 6k, I love them... So much nicer than stock bulbs. I'm also going to try to get some 3k HIDs on the bottom and Nokya purple/ blue bulbs for the DRLs/ High beams.

on the list...

took the headliner down

put 5 sheets of the black foil SS on the roof in between the braces and one sheet of the regular foil that I found over the second brace

going to shoot expanding foam in the braces for a little more support on top of what is already in there and throughout the roof there are holes and the b-pillar is hollow

suede headliner using SS high temp spray adhesive

new alt should be here Nov 9th

and temporary pictures of my HID's

they are bright as fuck! but not as purple as I expected them to be.

probably going to get some 3k for the fogs and some new blacked out projector housings with angel eyes

do the 3000k !!!!
