Torres Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 the second to last picture on post 9, you can see a screw on that piece separating the 6x9's and the subs. so it's screwed to another piece it looks like. so ima give this guy some credit that he'd separate those from the enclosure
gotFI? Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 i notice that the top baffle plate is sitting INSIDE the box, not on top of it. thats a very weak point. BTW, double baffle that box with bracing.

The 6X9s arent in the same box they have their own air space inside that woofer box sorry i didnt put pictures up on that. And also I know this box isn't very strong. This is my first big build I'm only 16 im still learning and i have learned alot since i built this box and this summer I'm goin to rebuild it and wall it off. Then it should be strong.

Ya I did take my time on this and before i built this i did look at the civic build thats why i did put this in my back seat I also saw how steve did his bracing. But i didn't find it really a concern for this box. It's been in the car for about 4 months now and its holding up fine

I had flex issues like crazy on the wall because I did not add enough bracing.
