it can yes, u can use audicity to check if the song has a clipped signal.

It sounds like a clipped signal, its the only song that your amp goes into protect on so it makes sense.

the same thing happened with my hifonics brutus 1500d, turned down the gain a tab bit and that helped.

2-DC 15XLM2 D.7s

1-DC 5K amp

yea i might do that if i notice more songs going into protect...but for now im just not gonna play that song so high, i usually never play anything over 42 volume (gains were set with the volume at 75%, which on my HU, thats 45 volume) but since i hadn't heard it in a while i turned it all the way up to 45 volume and im guessing with the eq settings that ive got on my HU it caused the signal to clip.

Make that five. A DJ played that song over one of my systems and...well, long story short, I had a blown D-161B (18") and a flaming D-161B.
