Bumpindemlowzz Posted February 14, 2009 Report Posted February 14, 2009 I have a 2000 cavalier coupe and the door speakers are suppost to fit 4x6's and the rear deck are 6x9's. I need input on the very best 4x6's and 6x9's. For the door panel in which i havent torn off yet i dont know if i can modify them to 5 or 6.5's. I was looking at Rockford, Re Audio, Infinity and JL, but i know theres many that i dont know of that would sound a 100% better that i dont know of. I will be amping them. any ideas? As for bass im getting the 15" Fi Bl off a sundown saz 3000 and i think i want some 8" subs for mid bass also 2010 Silverado 18" DC XL 18 DC 2k XS Power Batts
Stephen Posted February 14, 2009 Report Posted February 14, 2009 they make adapters to mount 6.5 in the front door. metra makes some and there is a seller on ebay that sells mdf ones you can cook bacon shirtless if you're not a pussy...lol not hatin, but am i wrong here it looks as if the amp is not grounded its hooked directly to the battery. it that the way it should be. reinke Posted February 14, 2009 Report Posted February 14, 2009 i used planet audio neo 4x6's and was extremely happy with them. i also had the neo 6x9's. they worked perfect off of deck power from a alpine 9883. i also tried a crunch gts 5.25" component set. they sounded alot better but i ended up making my own baffle. ----reference's---- meade916

That makes life easier. Should i just go with Re Audio 6x9's and also 6.5 components. With those Adapters. Anyone hear Re Audio Door speakers? 2010 Silverado 18" DC XL 18 DC 2k XS Power Batts
n8ball2013 Posted February 14, 2009 Report Posted February 14, 2009 I would do the comps in the door and get some kick panels. I actually have a set of the q logic ones that are reinforced with fiberglass and matting im not using but they were in my cavalier for a couple yrs so they show some wear. n8ball2013 Posted February 17, 2009 Report Posted February 17, 2009 right now they are in storage but i would. They are pretty scuffed up and could use some refinishing work. They have also been modified to actually fit a 6.5 and not a 5.25 next time i go out there ill grab em out and take some pics.
