Torres
i didn't do anything with the inches side. although i think the port displacement has changed. it's a very slight difference, but i will compare them when i get time. IKnowImLost224
How do you put the port ratio into affect as far as tuning? Like what is the benefit of it and what is it telling you? May be a dumb question but I don't really understand it lol
Torres
nothing as far as tuning. but i like to keep my ports to a 1:6 (width:height) ratio, or close to it. too thin and it's very prone to port noise. so i put that in there so it's easier than using a calculator each time you change the port
IKnowImLost224
Cool thanks for the response! Also why'd you get rid of port area range? I found that to be pretty useful! :^)
Torres
it's a general rule of thumb, but i found people using that to be a guide, which was not quite its intent. i still have the port area per foot box there, so that should still be able to help out in pretty much the same way
Jessica
Mobile and mac versions are probably not going to happen, but has anyone asked about a flash or html version. I mean just a web version, then platform would be irrelevant. Rest in peace, walled 87 accord build log 03' Corolla build with AA Mayhem inside. Torres
yeah i have been asked that actually. i would like to do that one best, because then it wouldn't matter if you were on mobie, windows, mac, etc. i am going to have to get more in depth with that
Captain Stupid
I just wanted to come back here and say thank you very much for the great calculator. It was invaluable in helping me to design the box I now have in my truck and I love it! I finally broke the 150 barrier and I'm so ecstatic, I can barely control myself.
