Looks good man. Bt my concern is everyone else's concern about the port. I know Meade goes with a 9:1 Port ratio, I personally go 8:1.

And I would put some carpet on that box, Walmart sells "car carpet" and it streatches amazingly and is super easy to work with. I probably won't build another box with out it. One other thing. I would counter sink the screw holes. Dewalt sells a counter sink kit with interchangable drill bits and works excelent! But all in all, for your 2nd install, I'd give it an A

i have some carpet, that ill probably throw on it a little later, but i like the look of the wood. I countersunk the screws, but i guess i didnt do all of them all the way. But thanks

you can kinda see some of them countersunk....

but i think since your going to put some carpet on there you probably don't have to work about it as much,,

if you like the look of the wood however then yes i would countersink them a little further and round off all the corners to make it look a little nicer..

you wouldnt know port noise if reached up and grabbed you by your jinglehangles.......

port noise is NOT a myth!!! Air turbulence at the mouth of the small diameter port causes "port noise" and bass output losses up to 3dB. A loss of 3dB means that half of the amplifier power being used for bass reproduction is wasted by air turbulence!

you need to stop talking so much especially to new members who dont know any better.

To the O.P. research who your taking advice from, it may save you a grip of time in the future.

as for your ground, careful in that location your not punturing anything under the car. Then you can use a larger diameter screw in the same hole, or seal that one up with some Auto body seam sealer bought at any parts store for less than $10.00.

So far so good just look into a wider port man. You may not hear the noise in the trunk but its there and not helping one bit.
