Forevrbumpn Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 if its a mechanical sounding buzzing, I would check your dome, use a fingernail, or something that can almost fit between the dome, and the cone, and just kind of walk around the dome, and see if there is any spots where the dome might be slowly popping up domes when the glue is failing, usually have a buzzing sound if you can do an actual sweep from like 1000hz - 20hz or so, and if you hear the buzzing more at a higher freq like 100+ hz, it can be the dome also check the terminals, see if they might have popped lose, either the nut that holds the terminals in place has loosened up, or if the terminal itself is broken Quote I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.

raytard Posted March 6, 2009 Report Posted March 6, 2009 spider pulled off? sounds a bit like overexcursion...may just be unlucky, wtvr glue it back, get someone else to glue it back, or get a recone if there just no way to glue it back Quote Build: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...hl=avalon+build monster/rockford/kicker/stinger cables, pioneer source, jbl highs/amps, kinetik/shuriken batts, iraggi alt, dei security, dc subs(atleast for now) Team DC
flashlight_65 Posted March 6, 2009 Author Report Posted March 6, 2009 im thinking about just regluing it since i dont have much time to send it in for a recone since i'll be deploying soon. whats a good brand of ca glue to mend it back together? Quote My builds: my caddy my 'hoe friends impala

flashlight_65 Posted March 6, 2009 Author Report Posted March 6, 2009 will regluing it help or am i outta luck? Quote My builds: my caddy my 'hoe friends impala
Boon Posted March 6, 2009 Report Posted March 6, 2009 (edited) Reglue it with some 2-part epoxy or CA and you should be sweet Edit: Springy plastic clothes pegs work well for holding it while the glue dries too. How big is your box? I imagine it would take some serious unloading to cause that... Edited March 6, 2009 by Boon Quote 10.x volts fo' life!
flashlight_65 Posted March 6, 2009 Author Report Posted March 6, 2009 the box is 5 cubes after displacment. but im still curious about the fact that it played so low at low power and now it doesnt. i'll post pics of my settings to see if you guys can see anything wrong. but i'll pick up some glue today and see how she does.
