loudlancer Posted February 20, 2007 Report Share Posted February 20, 2007 If you look in your stock wiring, there is a stock fuse from Alternator to battery, it very much so is ther for a reason!! If the internal(for those who have one) regulator goes, your stock wiring will get ruined, I have done this mistake and if I was on my other pc, I would post a pic or two of the consequences! I have a 250amp fuse on mine, and 300amp on my lines going to the rear battery. But for those who choose not to run a fuse, I think luck is on your side as I know I will never chance it again!! $50 could have saved me Tons of labour, and $150 of mechanics time.. dleccord Posted February 20, 2007 Report Share Posted February 20, 2007 if you're looking for all the juices from the battery to the amps, dont fuse. i dont compete, so i fused from my battery to the amps. i didnt fuse from alternator to battery. make sure it's a tight connection and do it right. dont go cheap on terminals either.
