My friend went garbage picking and found this 15" MTX Terminator Competition Series sub, Made in USA.

it works perfect except the surround is torn around the whole thing but it still moves linear when i pushed it with 10hz.

edit: that whipping noise in the video is the surround slapping against the frame and was moving a good inch or so

sounds like a sped up porno video hahaha

j/k

nice find. too bad the surround is F'd.

surrounds are easy to replace

get the cerwin surrounds

the ripple is what those came with right? and the red is hawt

what ripple. and yes the red surround is damn sexy. never seen them on anything besides a Vega product

for a sub u found in the garbage dont sound that bad. you can most likely fix it up and then have it doing some good or fix it up and sell it for some lil cash

im thinking of getting the cerwin vega surround replacement kit and fix the rotten surround (more of it fell off when i tested a 60hz tone on it lol) and the crushed dust cap.

im debating on whether i should get the surround kit. i think its worth fixing but my brother says its a waste of money for a speaker so old. what do you think i should do?

edit: pics, also reads a perfect 4 ohm
