I do also agree with you Roscoe on at least going with a 3" or larger port. If they did 2 3" ports it would be 9.42sqin per cuft and is a pretty nice amount of port to box size. I just had a meeting with my GM here at Sprint. We in the middle of major...I mean major layoff and i found out that I still have a job... So I was a little preoccupied this morning. So 1 port 3" x 8.6, but since teh box is going to be 8" deep can i just do two 3" x 4" ports? You dont have to do that but the smaller diameter or width the port is the higher the velocity of air is gonna be inside the port, which can cause port noise (whistling of air) and may also restrict the output of a subwoofer. everytime you change the diameter of a port the tuning changes, therefore you need to adjust the length to compensate for that. Im not sure if there is any reading that you will understan (hell I dont understand it all) but check out www.the12volt.com they have alot of good information for beginners.
