mcnaught82
As most of you know I am getting a divorce, but I am filing for full custody of my daughter. If the judge does grant me full custody, can I decline child support from my wife? I dont want any money or nothing from her because she is already going to have it bad enough. I only want her to be in my daughter life that is it. Quote Team Deadly Hertz

kryptonitewhite
I feel for you man. There is so much that comes with your situation, it's a bad time for everyone, and everyone seems to have strong opinions that vary so much. AI James
you can decline it, you dont HAVE to get child support. if you ever file for assistance then they will try to get you to go for support though but no you cant be forced otherwise to take it. finkster
OK...well heres what she had to say... she said although thats pretty rare, you can pretty much request anything from the judge that ya want...so she doesnt see why this cant happen in other words...when u get a divorce u either seek it or dont... Thanks man. Im not hard up for cash right now. Im with my dad right now so I dont have to pay rent or anything. Just my own bills that I have and buy some food for the house. Other than that I have extra cash, and I am still willing to help my wife out if she does need any help at all. But I will go and buy the stuff she needs. I would ask for whatever you are legally entitled to, nobody can argue with that. Quote Official Scores at the Dash. and YES. Melissa
If you're entitled to support, take it. If you don't need the support you could always use it to start a college fund for your daughter.
