finkster
yes...the higher the distance = more power lost...bigger wire helps keep this power loss to a minimum... kryptonite
putting in larger speaker wire i.e. using 8 ga power wire will help with the transfer between amp and sub, similar to that of using larger power wire to transfer power from battery to amp (completely different at the same time however) I'm going to be using 4 ga. power wire for my speaker wire, waaaaaay over kill and totally not necessary but it looks cool too Quote DC SOUND LAB NUT HUGGERCurrently Own 4 - 18" lvl 6s (m3) w/full Carbon Fiber option 2 - DC 5k lvl 4 motor lvl 2 motor On 8/2/2013 at 8:13 PM, n8ball2013 said: this is much worse. ISO
As long as you are useing 12 guage wire to each sub your fine. I use 12 guage as a rule of thumb nomatter how small the subwoofer amp is. When you use to small of speaker wire on your amps what happens the resistence from too small of wire will actually back fire in away and can and will cause your amps to over heat at a faster pace and eventually may burn out your speaker terminals over a long period of time.
