milesmiles
I might be buying a 10 inch JBL (or something like that), in an enclosure. I want to be able to use it in my house, but I don't have an amp for it. Would it be possible to power it solely off a power plug? How could I do this? You would need to buy a home amp if you don't already have one.
milesmiles
So it is impossible to power it without an amp?
c0smo kram3r
So it is impossible to power it without an amp? Well, you could hook it up to a wall socket & watch it for fun & see how long it'll last. But, you need an amp.
BJD3
So it is impossible to power it without an amp? How are you planning to get a signal to it without an amp? You could hook it up to a reciever, but a) ohm ratings are probably incompatible, and 2) (since I can't use "B *parentheses*")you would be sending a full range signal to it. troy
if your receiver has enough power to push it then get a lpf and hook to it. not a full range signal anymore Quote retarded build on the way..... 2000 bagged s10 2 hdc3 15s aq2200 aq4x90 stinger/knu wire optima batteries 220 amp alt fosgate hu/mids and highs

Yes you can, and you will get a nice 60hz tone Quote Designing, building, and shipping boxes. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.
