brewer_brewer
anyone can pay a small fee to use the patent and make these motors and baskets. these motor designs have been around for ever. i used to think the same thing about fi, sundown, dc etc. when i saw them using a motor that looked similar to my adire brahma. its not a knock off its just someone using someone else's motor design. as far as i know adire and atomic were the first to use these motors. adire has the patent on xbl2 technology. brewer_brewer
xbl2 isn't something you can see from the outside. its just a gap inside of the motor. the internals of the black market motors could be totally different. just going on looks. i said nothing about it looking like a BTL. all i was saying is that adire, kove and atomic were the first ones i know of using this motor and basket design and that it isn't a knock off its just people starting a new company. i remember when fi first started up and everyone was thinking the same thing and kind of scared to try a new company. until i realized scott owned it then i jumped on the wagon. brewer_brewer
no. /story. what? hows that? these people don't think they are knock offs because the motor are intenally the same and have the same gap to the mm. they look the same. have the basiclly the same basket. and have the same basic design in there motor as your subs, dc subs, kove, adire, re, atomic, and more. edit: bad word REFS http://www.caraudioclassifieds.org/forum/itrader.php?u=2026 http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/44535-official-brewer-brewer-feedback/page__p__625998__hl__brewer__fromsearch__1entry625998 "you're not allowing natural selection to work, you're like the guy that invented the seatbelt"
