I have to hear this shit everyday in P.O.T. class, he is not a socialist... The top percent that will be taxed higher, for the most part, are CEO's that don't do anything to help the economy in any way, just waste money on needless shit. There are a few that worked hard for their money, but when you are making that much money, is the 39% really that big of a deal? If you don't be a gluten, you would be surprised on what you can live off of. Sure it's nice to have all the extras, but they are not necessary. There is no way that they need that much. And on the welfare comments, have you ever been on or know anyone on welfare? Alot of times they can't help it that they can't get a job because of a disability or another challenge they face, so you can't just shut them off of welfare. Yes it gets abused, but what doesn't now-a-days

I don't know, I agree that some of those people who have all that money don't actually NEED that much, however we're americans and we have that right to have as much money as we can. Maybe they don't need it, but none the less, it's THEIR money. Who should say if they should rightfully have it or not? I've got alot of stuff I don't need that someone else could use, but it's my choice to get up and get rid of it and choose who I give it to.

Not to say I wouldn't like to "borrow" some of that money.

that is true but we cant sit back and wait for these people to help this economy with their money. because people want to keep what they have but they dont understand if they dont help today they wont have anything left tomorrow.

i honestly agree with camino, but another thing id like to add is i believe a fair tax would be much more sufficed than just the working paying taxes that way all consumers are paying taxes, i mean honestly why should i have to pay taxes when the mooching ppl that have never worked a day in thier pathetic lives get away free from it, i mean i dont kow politics that well but i do see the benefits of a fair tax that way everyone pays in on what they consume. idk maybe im wrong but thats just my opinion.

I would like to hear a full explanation of why you believe that is truthful. In "P.O.T" class, you must have never learned that there is no economy without CEO's, which are the bosses of these companies which lay the foundation for the economy. Come up with a believeable, credible and factual statement and then you can raise a debate regarding the procedures of economics. Use your noggin' and think, you're sitting on your computer bashing the CEO's of business in general yet you fail to realize the most obvious point of all. The computer you're using is most likely employing the use of a Window's operating system, which was designed by Bill Gates, the CEO of Microsoft. Oh and if not, then think about who invented the a centralized network known as the internet? Sorry to say, but it's Bill Gates again my friend.

I am talking about the CEO's that do absolutely nothing, and I specified not all, but a lot of them just waste money on needless shit. Sure, there are people like Steve Jobs and Bill Gates that help the economy, but those are people whom created their own company. The ones who just inherited them from their families are who I am talking about, those that haven't worked an honest day in their life. People who were entrepreneurs who came up with the idea to begin with, those I can see. But those who haven't worked for it, I have a problem with. And just to specify, I was not bashing on anyone.

And the P.O.T. class I spoke of earlier, it is Principles of Technology, and it is filled with biased Republicans who have nothing positive to say about Democrats, and always think that Republicans are the best party out there without looking at the positives and negatives that both parties have on their respective presidencies.
