Crump
yes it was most likely because it was mounted on the box Really ? I have seen tons of amps attached to boxs, will all of them do this? ChevyBoy
depends how good the solder joints are, how much the box flexes, and other things
bumonskateboard6
Not always going to break a capacitor if it's on the box, but it is more likely cause it's rattling around all those little parts all the time, but hey meade's got 2 amps mounted onto his box so it can't be THAT bad... Low voltage doesn't blow amps. That's a myth. A router that does the sub holes makes rounded edges also?

And i dont think the box flexs as much as vibrates. bumonskateboard6
yeah true forgot the 2 x 4's were there, not saying it's ideal to mount to the box Quote Current Systems: 2011 BMW 335i Hertz HDP1 DC LVL3 12" Full Carbon Fiber 2002 Acura TlKenwood DNX9980HD2 DCLVL4 12" Subs with LVL5 Parts D.7 CoilsDC 3.5kHertz HSK-165 up front HCX-165 RearHertz HDP4 AmpDC Power Engineering 260 Amp AltBig 3 and amp powered with KNU 1/0XS Power D2400 Up Front i pulled out my dick in class many of times and had it shown. get over it bitch...stupid open legged hairy beavered bitch... going over rms = smaller box, under rms = bigger box... Crump
What about the amp mounted to a peice of 3/4 MDF and then that screwed onto the box, would that be cool? Torres
depends on the scale of the install. i would try to brace it as much as you possibly can no matter what
Crump
depends on the scale of the install. i would try to brace it as much as you possibly can no matter what 1000 watts 2 tens, and you mean brace the inside of the box right? Fiberglass 2x4's etc...
