Jdhonda810
Alright....here it is. mahhh project. decided to upload everything all at once. It is a pretty simple design and pretty simple install. Yet the largest and LOUDEST i have ever installed. It :censored: pounds though! A Single fully loaded 18" BTL D2. Audioque 2200D. (2) Werker brand 100 AH AGM battery/power cells.... Box: about 6.75 cubes net ported to 34 huuuuurrtttss, sealed with fiberglass resin , braced with (4) 3/4" ALL THREAD rods for serious bracing; 2 of them welded together, line-x'ed for extra flavor and moral support . I also used fork lift quick power disconnects i bought from McMaster Carr. 1 connects the 2 batteries, 1 is for the power wire and ground together in the same connect going to the amp, and the last quick connect is used on the power wire to the starting battery. Well right now its the starting battery. I have a litttttttlle bit of voltage drop and i am going to run straight of of my alternator instead. When i bought the car, i was in Iraq and had my dad pick it up for me and thought the starting battery was under the hood but it was actually located next to the spare tire. So because of the long power wire going from the alternator ot the starting battery in back, i believe i have a little voltage drop and need to connect to the front to get a little more power. Long story short anyways, the quick connects are useful for the fact that i can take my box in and out of my car whenever i need to for cargo carrying purposes. The flames looked great in my mind but not as cool as they came out on the box. I used a utility knife and cut the stencil out of cardboard for the flames and used high temp spray paint and sealed it with spray laquer so it wouldn't wear off. The 2 greatest parts about this install is that it is the cleanest and krispppyyy and nicest yet loudest sounding car i have ever sat in, as far as my own ride goes. Also that i can still carry passengers and managed to fit all my extra batteries in between the seats and box and still pull off 6.7 cubes net. The other guy you see in the picture is Josh Rawlins (Rawlins87 on SMD) so thanks to Rawlins Subsonic Engineering. and hurrrr are the pics... and yes this is my real licence plate

HHR Ed
just read up top. You should connect the amp power to the battery in the back, not to the alt up front. rawlins87
just read up top.You should connect the amp power to the battery in the back, not to the alt up front. i suggested to run a wire off the alt to the other batteries in the back. to have mulit runs of power wire Straight alt to amp Edited April 20, 2009 by rawlins87
