djjerez702 Posted April 21, 2009 Report Posted April 21, 2009 I currently have a bx-15 soundstream processor thinking about swithching to da real EPICENTER!!! dont know if i should just not even use one at all!! everytime i upgrade i jst dont like how everything is tuned with da bx in it!! but without it my mexican musik dont bump!!! i feel like rap and hip hop dont bump da same wit it!! or is it dat i have never tuned it right??? I mean when it comes time to bumpin it in da streets i bump hip hop n rap but when its jst me listining i like to hear mexican musik!!! I've never played with a real epicenter new but we did install a used one once. only thing that sucked was absolutely no controls on it. we ended up disconnecting the rcas from it because the customer kept blowing subs and blew the amp once i believe J. JMy CardomainFINISHED COBALT SS/SC DUAL ALTERNATOR PICS theres no such thing as too expensive when it comes to upgrades like that, because imo if you are gonna spend to upgrade then do it correctly rather then be a cheap ass ricer

sully Posted April 21, 2009 Report Posted April 21, 2009 you have to run an full signal to the epicenter for it to work properly, if it is crossed over at the radio or before the epicenter it will sound like crap. the way it works is processes the entire signal and boosts certain frequencies that would have been cut out due to recording error or conversion to MP3 format. Just turn the knob down when you listen to Rap. Only have it turned up when you listen to other types of music that lack bass or the lower frequencies. Songs that lack bass kick you turn your epi on and it restores the bass note. I use it sometimes when I listen to the radio. Works well for music lacking low end. I like mine.
