oh and the HDMI "out" on my Digital cable box isnt working FTMFL!!! I had to use the RGB componants - but it still looks amazing! Ill be swapping that box out next chance i get. I dont know that the HDMI is that much better if at all, but it might be just a little.

Ill bring you a dvi to hdmi adapter.

I had the same box, then you just have to use optical for sound, or rca.

thanks man, but the box in that room only has componant and HDMI out, and the HDMI appears to be "out" alright. Shit wont work - The one in MY living room has DVI which i used the adapter to get it to hdmi (and it works great).

ya i didnt do my homework, im not really aware of which one is the better model....it was the biggest one they had in stock and since it was an LG i took it. Two of my other TV's are LG and ive had great luck and great picture with them so i know i cant go wrong with that brand. I THINK, not 100% sure, but i think LG has all the ORIGINAL plasma patents so they are the first ones to have the better technology where other brands get the sloppy seconds. At least it was like that in the beginning when they first hit the market. Jerry SooHoo at Paradyme told me that years ago - not sure if its true.

yea i was pretty determined to get a samsung when i purchased mine, butwhen i seen them side by side seen a 400 dollr price diff and actually liked the cheaper LG more, i took the plung
