Just Got A Lot Of Fatmat From My Neighbor

Recommended Posts

epic megalomaniac, lol

you get what you pay for, and one of the cheapest deadeners isnt going to work any better than one of the cheapest sets of speakers

yea, it may do what is supposed to, but it wont do it well, and it wont do it for long

PS. be prepared to have that 'tar smell' lingering around your ride for a few good days.

I used hushmat in mine, sticks like a mofo, no smell. I love it

woman..cant live with em...cant shoot em...guess were all fucked

You might be a Redneck if you use your leftover gutters for a speaker box port...

fatmat worked just fine for me, it sticks very well wen the surface is clean, and i have no rattles. we even had to peel it back up to weld a little and the shit was not coming off so we hit it with a cutoff wheel.

and as for the smell, i rode around for weeks with the smell of fiberglass in the car from doing the box, i can deal with a little tar.

Dude. Don't waste your time putting that in your car.

I had a bunch of fatmat under my trunk lid and 1.5 years later when I took off the plastic panel, I saw pieces of fatmat hanging...

I had to take it all off and put eDead vse3.

Trust me, don't waste your time with fatmat. You should try and sell it -.-

FatMat sucks. Period.

I cleaned the surface with alcohol, and used a torch with a roller, yet its still falling off.

Sell it if you can and get some raammat or other quality deadener (dynamt xtreme, second skin, hushmat, stinger, etc.) that is BUTYL rubber based.

Sell that shit fast and get you some Dynamat Extreme, Second Skin (this should be your #1 choice), or eDead. As long as it's butyl based my man. Dynamat Extreme for example can be used without a heat gun and is damn near impossible to get off once you use a roller.
