come on guys, i could use more than "dont do it mayne"

i'd like some reasoning, i have no problem leaving them how they are, i'd just like some reasoning or ima just do it.

also do i need to wire the subs in reverse or whatever, swap + and - do to the subs being out of the box (backwards)

no, you can leave the wiring the same.. from my understanding the only time you change the wiring is if you have 1 inverted and 1 normal... the inverted will get reversed to not have a push-pull type of thing with the other sub

cool that's what i figured if i had two up, two down or whatever, i think ima go for it, if i dont like it or whatever, i can always put it back to how it was

it makes almost no difference, just now your magnets and wiring is showing

I've heard of it quieting down a little, theoreticaly the cone area is the same front and back, but stuff like coils/magnets/baskets tend to get in the way, it should be just about the same though

for sq purposes the polarity should be swapped, otherwise you get a full 180degree phase shift, which can throw your bass off (most h/us have a polarity switcher so its no big deal...)

some subs (some RE's are notorious for it) will exhibit very noticable mechanical noise, like tinsel slap, which can be very irritating

that being said though, I ran 3 cvr's inverted in my friends truck for a while, we built the box drunk and didnt brace it so it kinda flexed and we threw it out, but it sounded great and we didnt have any problems with it

Build: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...hl=avalon+build

monster/rockford/kicker/stinger cables, pioneer source, jbl highs/amps, kinetik/shuriken batts, iraggi alt, dei security, dc subs(atleast for now)

awesome, thanks for the reply

my deck, not real happy with it, in my sig, doesn't have a polarity switcher i believe, unless it's the 'sub 1' 'sub 2' but i dont think it's it, i'll play around with it

but for changing the polarity that is the + and - with the wiring isn't it? my amp doesn't have a phase adjustment either, my set up fails ;)
