lanman31337
take a piece of string, put it dead center and follow the curve. measure the length, subtract the amount of straight pieces inside of the elbow, and you have your length. lanman31337
It needs to be no less than the port diameter distance from the wall. jizazz12
when you say dead center do you mean dead center out side back wall or dead center inside of elbow ? lanman31337
you want the area that's dotted, measure that. It is ok to have it outside of the enclosure, just means it doesn't displace inside the box I have a cavfire, yup, still got it. Haven't had it on the road in about 2 years, but it's just about ready for inspection. jizazz12
thanks for your help on the measuring , now i ran into another problem. i originally bought six four inch psp aero ports that i was going to use but once i got into this build i found out i could only use four. today i get ready to set the ports and found out that with the standard PVC nineties i only have about one inch to a 1 1/2 from the bottom of my tub so now I'm worried about port noise . not sure if i should lift the ports out of the box a little or just run with them the way they sit. this damn box is fighting me all the way . lanman31337
If it's going to be close, run them outside of the box. bobonit
You could also look into some thinwall short turn nineties. They don't have as long of a sweep in the turn.
