i got a 250 ran from my front battery to my rear, but i unno bout useing one that big goin to the amp, it will take a shit tone more than 200amps to blow one of those fuses, my friend had a run of 0guage in her alero with a 150amp fuse and when they took her system out the power wire was still hooked up n my buddy found that out, n he said when he looked under the hood the fuses was bright red but wasnt blown, so ied be careful runnin that much unless its less than how many amps ur amp's fuseing is worth,

ied run fuses to my amps from rear battery but i only have about 12-15'' of wire comein from it so fusing isn't all that necessary to me, as long as my batterys are fused thats all im worried about

You would be surprised... rock the 200 until it blows, then go to a 250A.

Route a 2 gauge power cable directly to the vehicle battery with an in-line 300 amp fuse.

if it calls for a 300A fuse then why use a 200A fuse?

might of been what they had on hand. never know bc some shops were im at dont handle 300amp fuses, you got to order it.

but if amp calls for 300amp, then run the 300amp fuse

the 200 is fine for a 1600 watt amp(you should have learned by now that RMS matters, max is a bad joke)

they know what they are doing, that fuse should basically last you forever.

I say use the 200 until it blows. Unless my understanding of fuses is wrong (and though it's possible, I doubt it) it can't hurt anything to have a fuse that will blow sooner. But one that is rated for more can.

EDIT: I can't spell tonight. lol

You may be offended by the above. Don't take it personally, I'm just abrasive.
