MTX J30 Posted April 29, 2009 Report Posted April 29, 2009 i know sq is sound quality but if i get a sq subn does that mean it will have less boom than an spl sub. Once or twice I have missed having a back seat / rear hatch, but all in all people love to see a walled vehcile. It just screams "i'm not fucking around with my setup, im loud"
ChiTownTBird312 Posted April 29, 2009 Report Posted April 29, 2009 usually...but not always. some sq subs have the potential to produce high spl Matt W. 1996 Thunderbird LX Sport 4.6 new system soon...still deciding on what to get.
BobbyG2 Posted April 29, 2009 Report Posted April 29, 2009 Or you can get multiple SQ subs... *New vehicle and system coming soon.*
newls1 Posted April 29, 2009 Report Posted April 29, 2009 Example....I was using MMATS P3.0's and MMATS says there SQ/SPL subs. I actually had mmats build me a ported box to spec, and SQ was spot on, very accurate. When I would throw in a rap CD or whatever, those subs fuckin beat hard! A quality sub can do both if the enclosure is tuned right. I love my staffie So anti FACEBOOK it isn't even funny
Noobtastic14 Posted April 29, 2009 Report Posted April 29, 2009 There is a difference between "SQ" and "Sounds Good" A True SQ woofer will never have the SPL potential of an SPL driver and vise versa. I don't believe there are many people on here that would like a true sq substage (obviously not everybody lol) -Drew I am a United States Military Arts and Crafts Professional.
