Need Some Help Picking A Amp/box For Alpine Type R's

the type r's are way too expensive ofr what they are. go with kicker cvr's. you can geta pair form ebay for like 150 shipped.

I'll agree with that. For the power he's gonna be using the CVRs would be a better bang for the buck. No doubt the Type Rs are good but I would only use them if feeding them more power.

i have a pair of 12's and they are louder than anything in the town i live in. they are in a slightl larger box than recomended also.

Thanks, now i just have 2 more questions and then I think i'll finally be ready to get some real bass in my car.

1. What are some good premade enclosures that would would well with the 2 type r's(specifically ported)?

2. What is a good, cheap place to buy from online(since theres only best buy near me)?

if u have to go pre fab go with atrend thats what we carry at our shop and they are actually pretty good quality for a prefab box. I have done a couple of type r's with those boxes and they sound pretty good. Im not sure but u can try sonicelectronics.com or just search.

I have two 12" Type R's and I've blown two of them. They're very clean and also loud enough to get you started... Just make sure you don't mess up your gains, run bass boost, or have ANY type of clipped signal going to them. As long as you keep it at 500w RMS and don't bump it for 4 hours straight, you should be fine.

Great choice, they're really affordable.

try caraudiofactory.com, i bought a advance t line for two fosgate p312's and banged pretty good . they have a good price

point on there boxes as well.
