RamenNoodles
So my grandma has a 2002 ford explorer xlt and her stock radio went bad in it. I got her a used one off of ebay to replace it with. How in the hell do I get the old one out. There is a huge trim piece around the radio itself that holds in the vents and knobs etc. I dont want to try and pry it out because that is how my honda one works. So can someone explain how to take it out for me? THanks guys. Quote Diablo Audio Technologies Fi Car Audio Ascendant Audio
may03LT
looks like the radio bezel is only held on by clips
RamenNoodles
Do you suppose those clips are the things on the sides in the middle, like one on each side? Last thing I want to do is break this bitch. Quote Diablo Audio Technologies Fi Car Audio Ascendant Audio
ryde2idie
looks like the plastic beauty plate that has the vents in it is clipped on at the top and bottom twice and only once on the sides, and the radio has 2 screws holding it in Quote

Nightshade
All you gotta do is pop off that bezel and then take out 2 9/32nd screws and that bish is out of the dash. Use a pannel removal tool if you have one, if not a flat head screw driver works if your careful. Here is the diagram. I'm not positive that it'll come up because you have to have a subscription to scosche's online site so if it doesn't then I'm sorry. https://secure.scosche-cars.com/encyclopedi...hicle_id=FD0187 Edited May 7, 2009 by Nightshade Quote 2013 VW Jetta GLI 2.0 Turbo 1 Sundown Audio SCV2000 1 Sundown Audio X15 V2 1 XS Power D3100 Audio Control LC6i Stock Deck 146.4 sealed on the dash at 37hz 2001 Focus ZX3: RETIRED Team Sundown Audio, Team XS Power, 2 time NSPL Car 3601-Up Champion, 2 time NSPL Car Hardcore ChampionHighest NSPL Scores to date:154.3db on the dash sealed at 46hz, 156.2db in the kick at 46hz155.2db unofficial on dash at 43hz
