I have ran 5,000 rms to my 12" dual 1 ohm aq hd3c aluminum coil sub and didn't have any problems 2ft tuned to 34hz (sounded way better than the 2.5 at 40hz aq recommends) power was from a digital designs z1 at .5ohm only time I had troubles was on tones then it would max out suspension wise but didn't get that hot I have no doubt in my mind the hd3c would get louder than the btl off the same power mine started to get loud off of 1000 watts i thought z1s were 5000w @ 1 ohm... I knew the hdc3's could take more then that, but was gonna play it safe, but now I'm thinkin (5) aq2200's! And since there's a few people on here with some experiance with aq stuff, I'm about to start a build for a friend, (2) hdc3 18's on a aq3500 walled in a 4 door cobalt, any advise?
