I finished the truck at about 9 on saturday morning, did some trouble shooting at the show but I got it all worked out, voltage is dropping to the point my stinger gauge just reads "LO" so im getting 2 batteries this week or so. I peaked @ 38 Hz which was really suprising, I never expected that. Even with my low voltage I did 140.3 dB's at the headrest, discolored the fuses but they held.

1st place in modified 3, although I think I was the only person there for that class.

I did some work on my box yesterday, I resined the inside of it & left all the fill out bc it was tuned a little too low. Im gonna make a run with & without it at the next comp to see the difference.

Yeah, Im kinda disapointed though. its not near as loud as i thought. I think its mainly because of my voltage dropping like crazy. & I had people at the shop telling me the box wouldnt flex......they wer wrong. the front of it is moving atleast 1/2" when the subs hit on a low freq.

I know I need batteries to keep up the voltage, im working on it.

Any suggestions to get it louder?

Im thinking MLA module.

  • 4 weeks later...

So after waiting forever for some batteries I finally found a deal on 2 Stinger 1700's. Today I had some time to replace the Knu Flexwire that went into the cab because the old wire was too short. With the help of my brother we fabbed up a battery tray and got it painted.

I've got an idea for your next box if you ever build another one. You should be able to port it. Give me a minute and I'll upload to Photobucket.

My comp setup (Not bad for what it is):

HP Compaq Presario V6120US laptop with:

15.4" widescreen

AMD Turion 64 X2 1.6GHz processor

2x1GB stick DDR2 SDRAM (667 Mhz)

Seagate Momentus 500GB SATA HDD

128MB shared video memory

Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

12 cell Lithium Ion battery (actual battery usage time: 6 hours)

What it does:

On a USB 2.0 Wireless card
