kooch Posted May 19, 2009 Report Share Posted May 19, 2009 1st post. love the site. i have 2 kicker amps (08) a 1500.1 and a 2500.1 that i am wanting to run at 1 ohm. i know they are not rated for this but i have heard these before and they rock. i have a xxx 12 on the 1500.1 and currently buliding a box for a xxx18 that will be hooked to the 2500.1 do you all think it will work? Thanx for feedback.KOOCH First I wouldnt recommend running either at 1 ohm(unless you like magic smoke), second I wouldnt suggest mixing sub sizes as it usually turns out sounding like crap. I know some peoples done and have run it a 0.5 ohm before and seem to work, but i wouldn't risk. Kicker products are great and love their amp because it under-rated. DON"T DO IT! Some amps can run at 1 ohm and some won't. Ur impedance rise has a lot to do with it also.
