Anywhere, if i push the rubber surround down it makes the sound, not as much as in the middle, but it still makes a scratching sound

well no shit it's gonna scratch when you don't push it down the center... pushing it down anywhere has a non linear push thus jamming the voice coil into the sides of the motor...

No bro its not like we are pushing it down hard as hell, we are barley touching it. and i can push my sub down and it doesnt make this sound....

Ask about returning it if possible and even if audacity says the song isnt clipping it very well could be. I would run 1/0 imo.

do me a favor... are you tapping it on the sides and such and it rubs? but you push down in the middle lightly and no rubbage. because i can go in the shop pull out an sx from a box and make a scratching noise if i wanted to. especially if it vertical not horizontal

what kind of box do you have and whats the port size/tuning? SX is a good driver

oh and clipping on that amp will blow the sub. make sure ur not cranking it and your source (cd, mp3) stays clean

theres no such thing as too expensive when it comes to upgrades like that, because imo if you are gonna spend to upgrade then do it correctly rather then be a cheap ass ricer
