thegreat22
I have an 01 tahoe. Currently I have an optima red top under the hood. Big 3 did in all 0 gauge and a 250 alt (135 at idle). Should i get an extra battery in the back like another optima or a powermaster d975 or d1200 or just a big starting battery like kinetik or the powermaster d3100. I dont' want to strain my alt. Decaf
you dont need a d3100... a d1200 should be ok... maybe a bit bigger it shouldnt strain your alt more so long as you can charge both batts enough between notes/bumpin cruises best thing i tell to people i hook up is when u go on an hour drive... donr play ur music at all and let your alt charge the batts at highway speeds
