IM not to keen on running one larger amp over two smaller ones my self. More expensive to repair more shit to burn down easier.

to clafity are you saying you could turn the volume up louder on the same subs but with a larger diameter?

if so im calling BS, it will sound louder though if thats what you mean.

OP yes 15s are usually deeper then 12s of the same model due to basket differences

sorry for the confusion, i didn't mean it would handle more power, but it was noticeably louder to the ear on the same amount of power when turned up.

no i hear ya, but there's no reason to worry about those things (for the most part that is), if everything is done right.

1) sufficient electrical (in addition to using good wire)

2) set gains w/ o-scope

3) have a good ground
