Any one have experience with this amp? I am looking into getting one. But the fact it doesn't come with a warranty is making me think twice.

great amps

no warranty due to what most people use them for...abuse

they are actually discontinued at this time for more improvements, but if you get a good price on one dont hesitate

My team mate has this amp and i think your electrical should be fine.. its a great amp and puts out great power.. he only has 2 group 31 batts and a 220A and we clamped it but he had mad voltage drop but it did about a lil over 2000rms at 1 ohm at about 10V maybe lol

2kw at 1 ohm???

I have seen a couple bench test like this.

"Battery only

3435w @ 4,60 Ohm (start volt 12,8v drop to 12,1v)

5631w @ 2,30 Ohm (start volt 12,8v drop to 11,8v)

8976w @ 1,15 Ohm (start volt 12,8v drop to 11,4v)

Battery + power supply

3805w @ 4,60 Ohm (start volt 14v drop to 12,9v)

6250w @ 2,30 Ohm (start volt 14v drop to 12,4v)

9550w @ 1,15 Ohm (start volt 14v drop to 11,9v)

So it's not to bad for one amp on a 12v system "

You should be fine, its designed to perform well on low voltage..ie 12.5 volts and up, nasty ass amps. Just be careful where you mount it, DD z series amps don't like vibration, therefore try not to mount it directly to your enclosure. The ddz1 first gen was notorious for the legs on the fets breaking off due to vibration. The design on the z2 and z2lv is a little stronger, so its harder for the fets to break, but it still happens..other than that they are pretty much bullet proof...go for it, you won't be disappointed!

I was going to "float it" off the back of my box which the back is 1.5" thick... but I'll see if i can find some where else

off the back should be fine, especially if its 1.5 inches thick, good luck
