Guest Posted March 15, 2007 Report Posted March 15, 2007 i got a pair of REALLY CRAPPY 3rd generation ipod headphones, they are pretty blown i was wondering, should i plug them into an outlet to pump 3000w into like .5w speakers, they should die within like 1 second right? lol how can i do this?
Chode69 Posted March 15, 2007 Report Posted March 15, 2007 in all honesty for the work gonna be spent to do it...(not too much really though) it wont be worth it. you will hear a little ping then silence. ive done it to big speakers, small speakers, tweeters, subs, so many different types and the only cool ones are the bigger speakers and subs. Its cool when you blow a sub like that cause you get to see it totally maxed out and then see smoke or what not, but headphones wouldnt be worth it. just throw em away.
