Twigz
I went to audio shop, they dmm the amp read 12 volts. Say that I didnt get a 275A alt and DC isnt legit ect ect. So, I call up Dc power n tell em the news and ask wha I need to do to show them DC is the shit. I need bout 20 ft of wire, 0 gauge wire is expensive and would run me over $100+ dollars. He said I could use welding cable so my question is, where can I get this at? and is it ok? or Should I man up and get 0 gauge wire? I got 0 gauge going to everything in my set up just the Alternator isn't connected to anything but the car. Quote Fear The Quack! LordArcane
i don't think welding cable would hurt nothing, i use semi battery cable (2 gauge) for all my power and ground and its all fine, the welding wire is prolly even better if its bigger gauge i would think since it does handle alot of amps and volts just my thinking anyways take it for what you will
white4d96
You can get 1/0 for the Big 3 for a LOT cheaper than $100. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_11831_...es+UF020BL.html Or you could look on the for sale forum; there's probably someone selling 1/0. Failing that, I think the welding cable would work but don't quote me. Quote Too many projects, too little time...
Chris from Mi
copper is copper, as long as it is a big enough gauge, welding cable works well, but its not as flexible. Unless you get a good deal with it, i dont think its going to be much cheaper than cable designed for mobile audio. I'd try looking on this and other forums, or www.knukonceptz.com Quote Orion 2500D, Jbl Gto 75.4 Team Wolfpack Audio FSQ 15" d2, mb quart xover, tweets peerless 6.5 mids Alpine cda-105 optima up front Knu klm 1/

RamenNoodles
With Welding wire you will not get anywhere near the strand count. You can get knukonceptz KLMX for like $1.85 a foot. If you cant afford that, you probably picked the wrong hobby... Quote Diablo Audio Technologies Fi Car Audio Ascendant Audio
