meade916
I was playing this game tonite and it was so amazing i had to take some video of it and show you guys. Most computers cant even run this game but this is what it looks like on FULL GRAPHICS and 8Q Antialiasing.....all that nerd stuff. This is a 2 year old Alienware that was top of the line when it was new and now it was recently upgraded again. Its a Q6700 Pentium Quadcore on 4gig DDR 8500 ram, 2 GTX285 graphics cards SLI, watercooled, all that - anyway if your into gaming, you will like this video. Oh and what do you mean "heavy"? Graphics heavy you mean? I played and beat the old crysis and it seems to be the exact same game, but just Warhead is an expansion-pack type thing. How long is warhead, anyone know? Can you tell by the vid if im halfway thru or how much i have left to go? rusty959
Yea, I was thinking while watching it that some fraps video capture would have been nice. its pretty easy to do. I was messing around with it the other day, I just need some more storage before I can capture much. Maybe here soon Ill try to get a vid up of another halfway decent computer on crysis, just for comparison. Can you tell by the vid if im halfway thru or how much i have left to go? what he means by heavy is power-hungry, like how much the first Crysis attacked peoples PC's with how much detail was in it, compared to the new one..sort of Quote 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander ZJ (2) Sundown Audio ZV4 12" , 6cuft box @ 37Hz (Playing 28Hz-55Hz, Peak 43Hz) (1) Crescendo BC5500D (2) Alpine SPR-60C (Front) (2) Alpine SPR-60 (Rear) (1) OA OAK75 4Ch (p.o.s) (1) Fullriver HC55 12v Batt (Front) (2) Fullriver HC110 12v Batts (Rear) KnuKonceptz Wiring - 0awg Fluro Orange Power, Black Ground Cables CarBuilders Sound Deadener PB 148.6dB 43Hz Sealed Before removal of stock front batt
newls1
Meade, your CPU is a q"X"6700. Not that it makes much difference though. Games now a days are more GPU bound due to the high resolution at which we play them at. If you game with crysis @ 1280x968 (or whatever) that will bottleneck the CPU, and your gpu's wouldnt hardly be taxed. The higher you crank that res, the more the GPU's take the load off the CPU. See what im saying. Now, when you upgrade to a Corei7 CPU, the shear mem bandwidth that CPU has (25000mb per sec) compared to our Core2Duo/core2quads @ 7-9000 mb per sec) will MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE for SLi as SLi LOVES MEM BANDWIDTH.
