Broken In-dash Monitor, Is It Fixable?

Recommended Posts

I got in a car accident not to long ago and somehow my In-Dash's monitor cracked (that's the pic of it). I was woundering if that was fixable and if it is, where can it be fixed?

everything is fixable for the right price. is it worth fixing, probably not. keep your eyes on the for sale section. i think james had a double din for $200 jvc. id pick that up. non touch screen but who cares.

About how much do you think that will run me, because I feel like it's a very good stereo and it still works and everything, the only problem is that big crack.

iirc a cracked screen on a pioneer d3 was around $300 total with the screen and to have it fixed. that is a touch screen if you dont already know . yours you just have to find someone who does repair service on those brand of equipment.

Yeah, mine had the touch screen too. Well thanks for the help, now I guess I'm gonna be at the for sale section looking for a new In-Dash and compare prices to how much it will cost me to fix it.

no, they will just charge you for it.

Otherwise check http://www.pacparts.com/ (i think) they sell parts, but dont think they do repairs.

Id call the manucactur of the radio otherwise and see who their authorized service center is..

You may also try to contact united radio and see what they say if they can fix it.

http://www.unitedradio.com/

Its probolly easy to fix yourself if you got the parts. But depending on what it costs, and what you paid for it, you maybe better off getting new.

Thank, this really helps since it gives me a few different places to check and compare prices.

What model is that? I have one just like it, mine is a Clarion Max675vd, I havent had any problems with it but if I did I would send it to Clarion to fix, for me when I bought it I got a 3 year warrenty with it, so all it would cost is shipping to fix.
