The A Team
With each sub being in there own chamber and sharing the same port I didnt know what to think. Im not attacking you here, but maybe its just the way you worded this. But if a ported box shares a common port it is a shared chamber enclosure. Tooshort064
well facts are ...FOR ME it was at least a 2- 3 db gain just in messin with the box until i had it right ! I use to do large ports for 12's and 3 10's back in the day. but tbh with ya when i was just browsing and ran across the design i figured i would give it a shot and see what happens .. yeah shit happened ok ... i was like Quote 95 Civic Coupe Pioneer AVH-P7600DVD Kinetik HC-1200 In Front Kinetik HC-2000 In Rear Memphis 16-MCA3004 2 X Memphis 16-MCD1000 With Maxxsonics MLX-100 2 X DC LVL 4 XL 12's Pioneer Premier TS-C720PRS In Door's Kenwood KFC-6982ie In Rear Deck All Memphis Wire/Rca's and misc. But if a ported box shares a common port it is a shared chamber enclosure. i beg to differ... I understand what your saying but ...... if it is shared then explain why airflow is not effected by one chamber or the other http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v518/mea...stevensbox2.flv Quote 95 Civic Coupe Pioneer AVH-P7600DVD Kinetik HC-1200 In Front Kinetik HC-2000 In Rear Memphis 16-MCA3004 2 X Memphis 16-MCD1000 With Maxxsonics MLX-100 2 X DC LVL 4 XL 12's Pioneer Premier TS-C720PRS In Door's Kenwood KFC-6982ie In Rear Deck All Memphis Wire/Rca's and misc. thorshammer
Although you could clearly see that some air did get into the other chamber it was indeed limited. hmmm
The A Team
I would guess there is a bit of a divider in the center of the port that doesnt go right to the baffle to separate each side. If thats the case then it will act as 2 enclosures yes, but then i would not consider that a truly shared port, partially shared yes. FiQ150db
I'm not sure that this has been mentioned too many pages to sift through, but why is the sub puckering so badly on the surround ? As I said I literally have no background regarding this build/thread just saw 1-2 vids on youtube.
uhoh_45
sub closest to the port has no cone control and tends to over exurd and ripp suround Quote R.I.P!
