CASZ71 Posted June 25, 2009 Report Posted June 25, 2009 So for a while now I've been running 12gauge speaker wire to my cvx's but was wondering if its big enough? My setup is a hifonics titan 1508d amp with 2 kicker cvx 12's.. Im running em at 1 ohm 1500rms.. I recently changed wire to just a higher quality 12 gauge wire and it made a huge difference.. but i was just wondering if its big enough?? Also if one piece of wire going to one sub is longer will it make a difference?? its maybe a foot longer.. Team_DC-Derrick Posted June 25, 2009 Report Posted June 25, 2009 have the wire the same length, it does make a difference because one has further to travel, even if you cant see it the power is hitting unevenly. your fine with 12g on the CVX tho The DC Integra 3 18s to 6 15 build log Team_DC-Derrick's Youtube Team DC Audio where theres a will theres a wall....... TechSys Posted June 25, 2009 Report Posted June 25, 2009 I do 8 gauge if the connections can handle it. Team Pinnacle / Team SouthEastSPL / Team SoundStream / Team GPI / GPI Sales Rep for Florida and Georgia
