thebiggmann12 Posted June 30, 2009 Report Share Posted June 30, 2009 Hey guys, im new to the forum. i recently bought a fi bl 10 off of a some guy i dont kno lol. he had it in a horrible sounding box. i am not very familiar with building boxes...but i kno how to work a saw. i was wondering if anybody knew of a program or something that could like give me the dimensions of a good box so all i have to do is measure and cut? or if anybody who reads this can? basically i just need to know the lengths and widths of each board. i drive a 2003 ford focus zx3 hatchback. the 10 is fully loaded daily dual 1 ohm. the amp is a kicker zx1000.1. i like to listen to music most of the time but i also like to go to local bass competitions. if anybody can help me i would greatly appreciate it. thanks. SI Guy Posted June 30, 2009 Report Share Posted June 30, 2009 I'm new to the forum, but have some experience with box building. For SPL, 1.5 cubes with a 35 square inch port tuned to 40hz. If you want more quality, 1.25 cubes with about a 25 inch surface port, tuned to about 33hz. Build it rigid. 3/4 MDF and 1" for the baffle. PM me if you have questions.
