99vic Posted July 2, 2009 Report Share Posted July 2, 2009 time for me to rant!! yesterday my extra set of keys to my durango came up missing off my wifes key ring, it has 2 alarm pieces and the key to my truck.the only thing found outside is the ring they were on no keys. that means one of these low life pill poppers in my complex has them. and to top it off im suppose to go camping tomorrow morning.so now i have to find a place to park it while im gone..... and until i can get the cash to replace my alarm. :censored: :censored: :censored: im so pissed right now. my day is ruined. I dont know what you could do now that they have your keys.... new door locks / ignition is going to be expensive. That way, your alarm will still be good even though the key is still floating around somewhere. After all, if you do nothing, then your truck is completely unprotected. I hope you can find those keys. Is your key black or grey, by the way? If you have grey keys, then it will cost more to replace than the black-headed keys. Even after reprogramming, understand that the original key will still manipulate the ignition lock even though it won't start it. Or, you can set a trap for the bastard(s) with your keys and then...
